Electrical Requirements

The system requires a 208-240 VAC, 50/60 HZ, Single Phase, 50 AMP service. To provide power to the unit with less than 3% line drop at 50 AMPS, the required wire size is as follows:

DISTANCE FROM UNIT TO PANEL WIRE SIZE (AWG)

Up to 100 feet (30.48 meters) 8 AWG (10 mm2)

100 to 150 feet (30.48 to 45.72meters) 6 AWG (13.3 mm2)

Greater than 150 feet (45.72 meters) 4 AWG (21.1 mm2)

FOR GREATER DETAIL, REFER TO THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE, TABLE 310-16.

Units with UL listing have a junction box for the connections of the service in the rear of the unit towards the lower left hand side. When wiring the input power to the box, the wire should not bend less than 2" (5cm).

The service should be a dedicated branch circuit with its own overload protection. Differences in state and local electrical codes, and license requirements makes it impractical for Isokinetic International to provide the AC power connections to the system. The services of a licensed electrician will be required for this function of the machine.

Call Isokinetic International at 423-344-0407 to arrange for assembly and operational check out of your system. Although the wiring of power should have been completed at this point, care should be taken so that NO power be applied to the base unit before our technician arrives.
